Welcome to the Mighty Muskegon River. It is one of the the most pristine rivers in the state of Michigan. It is a most well known for its fishing. Trout, Walleye and Bass are your most common species here. Through out the summer months kayaking and canoeing are the preferred methods of travel. The Muskegon River offers great family fun events in the communities that populate its banks. The Muskegon river extends over 215 miles. Its shores are home to wild life such as whitetail deer, otters, waterfowl, Turkey and eagles. The river has its share of private land but also an abundance of national and state forests are available to the public.
