With a capacity of approx. 9,800 head, this feedlot is the largest indoor cattle feeding facility east of the Mississippi.
Facility Details:
One 75 ft x 375 ft commodity barn with a 125 ft x 375 ft concrete slab.
One tallow tank with a capacity of approx. 50,000 lbs.
One liquid tank with a capacity of approx. 146,000 lbs.
The High Moisture Corn pit has a capacity of approx. 1,000,000 bu.
The manure storage barn is 154 ft x 540 ft and was built in 2004. The facility has approx. 232 days of manure storage at full capacity.
There are six 16 ft x 20 ft mortality compost bins under the manure storage barn. There is approx. 365 days of mortality storage.
The shop consists of a 30 ft x 40 ft metal building with a concrete floor.
There is an additional 35 ft x 175 ft wood frame storage building. The office is a 40 ft x 80 ft building.
Cattle Equipment:
This feedlot has six 60 ft x 1,500 ft original cattle barns and two 40 ft x 600 ft newer hoop barns. The original barns each have 20 pens that hold 70-72 head each. The alleys are 14 ft wide. The hoop barns each have eight pens. Six pens hold 80 head and two pens hold 60 head. The cattle alleys and bunk gates are 14 ft wide. The hoop barns were built in 2007. This feedlot has one processing area and two hospitals.
Fences:
A chain link fence encloses the perimeter.
Water Wells:
Four wells service this feedlot and are interconnected. All of the wells have a combined total of 610 gpm. One well was rebuilt in 2000 and the other three wells were drilled from 1999-2007. All of the wells have submersible pumps. The well depths range from 40 ft to 120 ft deep.
Additional Information:
Rolling stock, processing and hospital equipment, shop tools, office equipment, computer hardware can be made available through separate negotiations. Computer software, portable building used as a breakroom, and three fuel tanks are leased and can be negotiated separately with the vendors.
