The premier ranch at N4090 Road in Daisy, Oklahoma is surveyed at 1,273.59 of lush pasture bottoms that produce several hundred bales of hay annually, mature timbered creek bottoms on nearly 2 miles of Buck Creek, some mountainous terrain on Bald Mountain to the East, and some of the most breathtaking views you'll find.
Buck Creek Ranch has been strictly managed for mature whitetail hunting over the last 7 years. The ranch has many trophy class deer and hunting has been all about harvesting for age. With large neighboring land owners all practicing whitetail management and the pure vastness that Buck Creek Ranch has to offer it has allowed the whitetail herd to grow, thrive, and mature with some harvested bucks being 7-9 years old. Strict doe management and harvests over the past years, very low hunting pressure, and trapping wild hogs in groups has allowed these deer to mature and reach their full potential. It's not uncommon to sit on the Lodge back porch and see 40-50 deer in the fields in the evening. There are multiple food plots, stands, tower blinds, and feeders situated around the ranch that will stay.
There are several improvements on the property including a rustic lodge with 3 bathrooms, a primary bedroom and two buck rooms. The lodge is open with a large industrial kitchen with a commercial stove for cooking and entertaining guests. With a wall of windows to the East and a massive covered back porch with a guitar shaped firepit you can spend your mornings and evenings watching deer filter in and out of the fields as they graze. The lodge water source is fed from a live spring on Bald Mountain and it has been a reliable clean water source for many years. Buck Creek itself has mature oak and pecan creek bottoms and is nearly 2 miles in length on the property. This full time creek provides a plentiful water source for native wildlife and in the high season some great recreation in a canoe or kayak. In addition to the creek there are several ponds on the property. The largest centrally located on the ranch is a great spot to hunt waterfowl in the fall. The mammoth Bald Mountain encompasses the east side of the ranch. Atop it, one can see for miles and there are boundless opportunities for hunting, hiking, four-wheeling, horseback riding and camping. The ranch has a good system of roads that allows for access throughout the ranch, including the crest of the mountain with pine forests and views that rival Colorado. Visitors are awestruck - and can't believe that all of this is so close to North Texas.
Buck Creek Ranch has income-producing capabilities year-round, including hay cuttings, hunting, and timber. For cattle, there are two areas of pasture land and quality bottom lands. Another source of income is the four-wheeling. The ranch has not been used for four-wheeling in many years but with miles of 4x4 trails it used to be a sought after attraction where four-wheelers from around the country came to crawl over the rocky trails on Bald Mountain.
