Nicely wooded with northern hardwood forest, the cabin would make an excellent base camp for outdoorspeople as it's close to Chateaugay State Forest (over 3,000 acres). Several other state forests are also located nearby for Northern Tier hunting, hiking and XC skiing. The property is minutes away from the Salmon River for world-class salmon and steelhead fishing. Also, enjoy direct access to the Oswego County ATV and snowmobile trail systems. The Salmon River Reservoir is close by - a 7 mile long, undeveloped waterway that offers plenty of islands and small bays to explore by canoe or kayak. It also offers great bass and trout fishing. Lake Ontario is nearby for swimming and boating - shop locally in Altmar or Sandy Creek for supplies.
