The farm is located in Colorado Big Game Unit 91 which is known for its trophy Whitetail. In the mornings and evenings deer can be seen frequently coming into the hay fields from the river bottom. Spring turkey hunting down the South Platte is as good as it gets in the Colorado with great numbers of turkeys using the ag fields to field. Hunting access on Ford Bridge State Trust Land is suspended to the public during March-September.
