Bill lives on a farm in Fayette County, AL on the banks of the Sipsey River where he was born and raised. After playing high school football, he was a walk-on at Auburn and earned a football scholarship. Although he was a starter for 3 years, he is best remembered for blocking two punts in the 1972, “Punt Bama Punt”, game between Alabama and Auburn. He met his wife Sarah at Auburn and they have been married for 43 years. They have three boys and three grandchildren. He graduated Auburn University in 1974 with a BS degree in Agriculture Business and Economics. Although he has been a Real Estate broker in Alabama for over 40 years, his main occupation was in the Oil and Gas Industry working in the Black Warrior Basin of Alabama. Bill knows land and all the benefits of land ownership, either for the pure enjoyment of recreation or for the financial investment.
